Lumbofemoral Guardian "COMPLEX KAFO" 06-2-105

The guardian is a combined construction of four parts: lumbar, femoral, tibial and tibial inner shoe ("DropFoot").

All parts are connected to each other with high quality and strong metal blades.

α) Lumbar section

The belt is made of 'Active SpaceII' fabric, which is a combination of polyurethane with an outer lining of 'Polyamide' and an inner lining of 'Terry'. The fabric is stable, hypoallergenic, antiperspirant and ventilated. The two self-adhesive straps adjust the range of support in the abdomen and achieve the stability of the guardian.

b) Thigh section

Made of 'Active Space II' fabric. The three self-adhesive foam and non-elastic straps stabilize the bridle.

in the correct position. The hip joint has a multicentre 'ROM' mechanism for adjusting flexion and extension in selectable positions at 15° intervals:

- flexion: 0° to 120°

- Extension: 0° to 90°.

c) Shin section

The three self-adhesive straps stabilize the guardian and achieve a correct fit.

Between the thigh and shin sections, there are two polycentric mechanisms for adjusting the knee flexion-extension (bilaterally) at 20° intervals.

- Flexion: 0° to 110°

- Extension: 0° to 130°

In the knee area there are also two foam pads to protect the tubercles.

d) Inside leg section

It shall have an integral 'inner shoe' splint, made of carbon fibre, which supports the foot in a neutral position in the event of a 'drop foot' fall.

It is recommended for use in patients weighing up to 80 kg.
